French Louis XVI style carved wood and upholstered chair, late 19th or arly 20th century. Clearly carved by a master woodworker, this chair exhibits a stunning carved frame featuring birds, florets and beaded trim. The chair is raised on tapered spiral fluted legs. Apparently unmarked. Companion chair available.
Chair is newly reupholstered in white cotton matelassé.

Condition: Structurally stable, scattered surface wear commensurate with age and use including scratches, scuffs, dings, and dents, scattered small chips to carved frame and finial. Newly reupholstered.
